AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. All students must be prepared to sing a Broadway-style song. Applicants must bring sheet music for the accompanist. NO DIGITAL TRACKS.Select songs that express a character’s feelings more than songs that tell a story (avoid narrative songs); Prepare age-appropriate material.  Limit your song to 2 minutes, preferably 32 bars (a verse and a chorus)

2. If auditioning for a principle or speaking role in one of the productions, students must prepare one short monologue from a play or musical which shows the variety or his or her acting ability:
Dramatic monologue or comedic monologue. (2 minutes max)

3. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothes as you will asked to move and dance.

4.  All students who turn in an audition form will be emailed a PARENT PERMISSION FORM at the end of July.  This PARENT PERMISSION FORM NEEDS TO BE SIGNED BY YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN AND BROUGHT TO THE AUDITION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A ROLE.  

During September 20-September 30, the production will be in tech, dress rehearsals, and performances.  Actors need to be available from 3-9 pm during that time.  Performance dates are September 27-30 at Pearl City Cultural Center. Please see Ms. Taira if you have any  questions.
